LG Manoj Sinha Launches J&K’s All-Out War on Drugs, Rolls Out Tough SOP Against Drug Dealers At Maulana Azad Stadium Jammu we are not just present to inaugurate a formal function, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha. Rather, we have come to voice a resolution that will not be limited to this stadium. It will work to reach every village, every town, every city, every home and every area of Jammu and Kashmir, LG stated taking forward the 100-day challenge of Nasha Mukt Abhiyan. We all know that in the year 2020, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the drug-free campaign was started in the entire country. After starting in the country, many efforts have been made in Jammu and Kashmir also. In 2021, a campaign was launched to declare many Panchayats as drug-free Panchayats. Last year in 2025, the Jammu and Kashmir government and administration together launched a sponsored campaign to make the entire Jammu and Kashmir drug free.We must come together and take a pledge today to face this challenge without any hesitation. Today, the problem before youth is the biggest challenge facing Jammu and Kashmir, LG added. It is weakening the energy of our youth, weakening the foundation of our families, and affecting the moral strength of our society. This struggle is not just a departmental issue. It is not just a legal issue. It is not just about the force. Rather, it is our collective responsibility to end drug addiction. Strictest action has been ensured against those involved in drug smuggling, LG spoke. And today I want to say from this platform in very clear words that those who harm the society will not be spared under any circumstances, LG warned. I want to tell all the brave police personnel that our neighbour is also funding terrorism through drug smuggling as part of a conspiracy and trying to ruin our future. Drugs smuggled across the border will emerge as the biggest threat to the peace of Jammu and Kashmir and the lives of our youth. Every consignment of drugs that slips past our sight not only fuels terrorist activities but also takes the lives of many families, ruining their futures. And ends a life before it truly begins. I want to say to every responsible colleague in uniform that today we have to take a pledge that under no circumstances will we allow this to happen. I have always said one thing that do not harass the innocent and do not spare the guilty. We will apply these principles to this campaign as well. Any smuggler who thinks he can roam freely in our society inducing poison, I want to say today that the law will stand against him with all its might. I vow to de-addict the entire system, not tomorrow, not now, but this very moment from within, LG voiced The administration has also formulated a Special Operations (SOP). A comprehensive system has been established to bring every smuggler and his associates to justice. And it will be ensured that the price of ruining innocent lives is met with severe punishment. I want to tell every element involved in this black business that you are not untouched, you are not invisible either. Now you will have to answer for your actions to both the Jammu and Kashmir administration and the police. Very important decisions have also been taken under this SOP. The passport, driving licence, Aadhaar number and armed licence of a dealer involved in drug smuggling will all be revoked, stated the Lieutenant Governor. And if he absconds, a Look Out Circular will be issued, his immovable and movable properties will be attached under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS Act), his bank accounts will be frozen and a financial investigation will be initiated against him. I want to assure you that we intend to take such strict action against this network that even the souls of their future generations will tremble, J&K Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Shinha said with firmness.
