Samba, December 10, 2025:In a landmark development for Jammu & Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha laid the foundation stone for 105 houses damaged during the flash floods in August 2025. The project, executed with the support of HRDS-India, aims to provide safe, modern housing for affected families while strengthening the region’s infrastructure.
Speaking at the ceremony, LG Sinha emphasised that better infrastructure, education, health, employment, equal opportunities, and social justice have always been top priorities. He stated that under the guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, J&K has witnessed historic progress in all-round and inclusive development.
The housing project is part of the administration’s broader initiative to rebuild flood-affected areas, ensuring that residents have access to resilient homes and essential amenities. Officials noted that this step underscores the government’s commitment to people-centric governance and inclusive growth in Jammu & Kashmir.
