LG Manoj Sinha inaugurated Jammu’s first tulip garden at Sanasar in Ramban district

The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha inaugurated aTulip Garden at Sanasar in district Ramban. It is the first such park in Jammu Division. The Sanasar TuliIp Garden is spread in 40 Kanals with 2.75 lakh Tulip bulbs of 25 different varieties. The Tulip Garden in Jammu is an initiative of the Tourism Mission with a further plan of 75 new destinations being developed in J&K. The Lieutenant Governor congratulated the tourists and the local residents for the Tulip Garden that was decided just last year. In the coming future, the LG stated that more tourists and the local economy are expected to grow. There are two-three essential requirements that have been discussed which will help Ramban and the nearby areas, LG said. Earlier, people had to go to Srinagar to visit the Tulip Garden. Now people in Jammu can enjoy the beauty of Tulips at the Tulip garden in Sanasar in Jammu itself, said locals in Jammu. The pilgrimage tourists coming to seek the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi can also visit the Tulip Garden in Jammu. There will be no need to go to Kashmir. In this far-flung area of Sanasar, the farmers who grow these Tulip flowers will get encouragement. The Lieutenant Governor also made a big announcement that the Tulip bulbs will be grown in the state. Every year, crores were spent to get bulbs from foreign countries. Now the Tulip bulbs will be grown right here, it is a big deal, said officials. We are thankful to the flower growing families and farmers of Jammu and Kashmir for this Tulip Garden. The cut flowers could not reach far away places and farmers did not benefit. Now by growing home-grown bulbs, the farmers in far flung areas can benefit too.
