Srinagar, December 26,2025 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday paid solemn tributes to the Sahibzades of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on the occasion of Veer Baal Diwas, remembering their unparalleled courage, faith, and supreme sacrifice.
In his message, the Lieutenant Governor said that the martyrdom of the Sahibzades remains an eternal source of inspiration for humanity, symbolising unwavering commitment to righteousness, justice, and moral values even in the face of extreme adversity.
LG Sinha also recalled the strength and resilience of Mata Gujri Ji, stating that her fortitude during moments of immense suffering continues to guide society with lessons of courage, patience, and spiritual strength.
Highlighting the teachings of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the Lieutenant Governor said that his noble ideals of equality, compassion, and justice transcend time and continue to inspire people across faiths and cultures. “These timeless teachings guide humanity and encourage us to uphold the values of harmony, inclusiveness, and service,” he said.
Veer Baal Diwas is observed to commemorate the martyrdom of the younger Sahibzades, Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, and is marked by remembrance events, prayers, and awareness programmes across the country.
The occasion serves as a reminder of the enduring legacy of the Sahibzades and the Sikh Gurus, urging society to imbibe values of bravery, sacrifice, equality, and compassion, especially among the younger generation.
