Kishtwar, December 9,2026- The vibrant spirit of culture and tradition will come alive as the “KISHTWAR FESTIVAL” is jointly hosted by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and the District Administration Kishtwar on 9th December at 11:00 AM onwards at the historic Chowgan Ground.
The festival aims to celebrate the rich cultural heritage, folk traditions, art forms, and linguistic diversity of the region. The event is expected to witness enthusiastic participation from artists, performers, writers, and cultural troupes from across the district, making it a grand showcase of Kishtwar’s vibrant legacy.
Officials stated that the festival will feature traditional music and dance performances, poetry recitations, cultural exhibitions, and local handicrafts displays. The initiative seeks to promote local talent while preserving and promoting the unique traditions of the Chenab Valley.
District Administration Kishtwar has extended a warm invitation to the public to attend the festivities and be part of the cultural extravaganza. The event is also aimed at encouraging youth participation and strengthening community bonding through cultural exchange.
