Kashmiri Taxi Drivers Offer Free Ride to Tourists, Stand United Against Terror After Pahalgam Attack Following the heinous gunning down of tourists at Pahalgam, a taxi drivers association in Jammu & Kashmir, called JK Radio Taxi Association is offering free service from Srinagar to Airport for the tourists. This is absolutely free service . Around 60 taxi drivers are standing up in J&K against terror and providing free service since 5am and say they are with the tourists in their hour of grief and consider the tourists as their family. ‘Stop Killing Tourists’ slogans filled the air as protestors marched holding candles, condemning the barbarous act as work of a devil and not a human being. They have killed humanity, whoever did this can only be a beast said taxi drivers in J&K. They have killed us and attacked our family, said a taxi driver. Even earlier when Article 370 was there, or when Kashmir was in a bad state, never where tourists attacked. In Lockdown too, tourists who were stuck here stayed with us for 20 days and were with our family safely. This is not their grief alone but our grief first. This is our Kashmir, it was heaven, will stay a heaven and always will be a heaven, said one driver. People come from outside and do these abominable things, the whole world is watching, said one driver. These tourists are our brothers, God forbid if anything untoward happens, we drivers would be on the front rather than getting any harm to them. We treat the tourists as guests, take them home, feed them if necessary. Whoever has done this atrocious killings is a predator, said a Kashmiri taxi driver in J&K.
