Srinagar, Dec 7, 2025 — In an extraordinary display of endurance and determination, Kashmiri cyclist Rafiq Ahmad has successfully completed a grueling 4,249-kilometre journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. The journey, covering the length of India, took him through diverse terrains, climates, and states, highlighting both his physical stamina and mental resilience.
Ahmad, a dedicated physical education teacher, embarked on the expedition to promote national unity, fitness, and the spirit of adventure. The ride, which spanned over two weeks, was flagged off from TRC Stadium in Srinagar and concluded at the southern tip of India, Kanyakumari.
“This journey has been both challenging and rewarding,” Ahmad said upon completion. “It tested my limits but also gave me the opportunity to connect with people across the country. I hope my ride inspires others to pursue their dreams, no matter how difficult they may seem.”
The expedition, often referred to as the “K2K Ride,” garnered attention from sports enthusiasts and media across India. Ahmad’s accomplishment has not only put a spotlight on cycling as a sport but also highlighted the determination of youth from Jammu and Kashmir to achieve extraordinary feats.
