Kashmir Traders Hail Vande Bharat Trains: A Historic Step Towards All-Weather Connectivity President Traders Association, Lal Chowk, Jitender Singh said he was grateful to the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for this initiative of starting Vande Bharat trains. The traders community were long awaiting this move. He said now the government should start goods train also. The Vande Bharat express trains will help boost tourism. It will solve the challenges people used to face specially during emergency when roads were shut due to rains and airfare prices used to shoot up. This initiative will help in ending that problem. There will be an all-weather connectivity in the Jammu & Kashmir region. It is a very good step. It is a time of great joy, said the residents. Kashmir was cut off from the rest of India because of the mountains. Now the people of Kashmir will be connected to the rest of India. Now history is being made. And we would like to thank the PM, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir Shri Manoj Sinha, and the local government here, President Traders Association said. We have opened greater connectivity, now people from all walks of life can easily come to Kashmir. Earlier people used to face the price issue of tickets from Delhi to Srinagar vs Delhi to abroad, the latter seemed cheaper and they used to prefer going abroad. Now these Vande Bharat trains will resolve that issue. They can board the Vande Bharat train in the evening from Delhi and reach the Paradise on Earth, Kashmir, by morning. So you see, this is a very good step by the government, said the President of Traders Association Srinagar.
