Jammu, November 1,2025: The Jammu Municipal Corporation , under the leadership of Commissioner Devansh Yadav , has launched a series of green initiatives aimed at transforming Jammu into a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable city.
The civic body has introduced green corridors, extensive tree plantation drives, and eco-pathway projects across key parts of the city to reduce pollution, enhance air quality, and create a healthier urban environment.
Commissioner Devansh Yadav emphasised the importance of public participation in these initiatives. “A greener Jammu is not just the responsibility of the administration but of every citizen. Together, we can build an environmentally conscious and sustainable future,” he said.
Residents and volunteers have actively participated in the tree plantation drives, symbolising the city’s growing commitment to environmental conservation. The JMC also plans to develop more eco-zones and walking paths to promote a healthier lifestyle and urban biodiversity.
The “Green Jammu, Clean Jammu” campaign reflects the administration’s broader vision of sustainable urban development and aligns with the government’s Clean India and Smart City missions.
