J&K’s Homegrown Cloud Kitchen: A Mother–Daughter Entrepreneurial Journey My mother and I we started cloud kitchen in 2020, said Maryam Arshid Entrepreneur from Jammu & Kashmir. My mother’s cooking was good and she had a passion to feed people. So now mother makes fresh food at home and delivers. I take care of the orders. We started at home this cloud kitchen business with the most basic of things. Then we slowly expanded, said Maryam In the initial days, people were not aware of us. So we had a problem in marketing. Then we created posters and did marketing. For some time we sold in food departmental stores. That’s how people statred recognising us. My mother makes butter, ghee, then she has products like saffron, honey, and she also provides tiffin service. Mostly students and AIR BNB employees are our customers. We do not use food colours, we use beetroot for colouring. So whoever wants to start a cloud kitchen can do so easily. Parents will willingly support in their endeavour, advised entrepreneur Maryam Arshid.
