Srinagar, April 18, 2025 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has called on the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir to actively report terror sympathisers, emphasising that shielding such individuals undermines peace and progress in the region. Speaking at a public event in Srinagar, Sinha urged the public to collaborate with security forces to ensure a terror-free future, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to rooting out terrorism.
LG Manoj Sinha’s appeal comes amid ongoing efforts to strengthen security and foster development in the Union Territory following the revocation of Article 370. He highlighted the administration’s zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism, stating that public cooperation is crucial for dismantling terror networks. “Do not shield those who support terror; report them to safeguard our youth and our homeland,” Sinha said, addressing concerns about local elements aiding anti-national activities.
The Lieutenant Governor also praised the security forces for their relentless efforts in neutralizing terror threats, noting recent operations that disrupted militant activities in the Valley. He assured citizens that robust mechanisms are in place to protect informants, encouraging fearless reporting.
His statement aligns with broader initiatives to promote peace, including infrastructure development, youth employment programs, and tourism revival, which he described as vital to countering the influence of terror sympathizers. The administration’s focus on community engagement aims to build trust and ensure collective responsibility for J&K’s stability.
