A 15-day skill development training program has been launched for 30 members in Reasi, J&K, including successful groups, with the goal of empowering women and other participants from self-help groups. The primary objective is to provide hands-on training in the production of various products, such as caps, Glasgow tea, and sweaters. While these products were traditionally crafted by hand, the program introduces machine-based training to increase efficiency and enable the creation of cost-effective products in a shorter timeframe. This initiative is part of a broader effort to support the empowerment of women, girls, and other community members, particularly those involved in the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme. The focus is to help participants develop practical skills that can lead to self-reliance and economic independence. By introducing modern production techniques, the program aims to equip them with the tools needed for both personal and professional growth. Through this program, the objective is to encourage entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency among participants, providing them with a solid foundation for future opportunities. The training not only focuses on product-making but also fosters the confidence and entrepreneurial mindset necessary to start and sustain their own businesses. This initiative represents a step toward fostering long-term economic stability for women and other members of the community.
