J&K Raj Bhawan celebrates foundation day of Tripura, Meghalaya, and Manipur

JAMMU, JANUARY 21 – The Foundation Day of Tripura, Meghalaya, and Manipur was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the J&K Raj Bhavan. The event, organised under the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, brought together students, security personnel, and people from these three Northeastern states living in Jammu and Kashmir for a vibrant cultural programme.

In his address, Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of Tripura, Meghalaya, and Manipur. He paid tribute to the great leaders and personalities from these states, acknowledging their immense contributions to nation-building.

The Lieutenant Governor further highlighted the socio-economic transformation of the Northeastern states under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He emphasised the region’s rapid and inclusive development, which has aligned the aspirations of the North East with those of the entire nation.

“Tripura, Meghalaya, and Manipur are not only rich in traditions, culture, folk arts, and crafts but also play an essential role in the country’s progress,” the Lieutenant Governor remarked. “Today, these states stand as the growth engines of India, inspiring the nation with their spiritual ideals and cultural values.”

He concluded his speech by expressing his hopes for continued growth and prosperity in the region. “May these blessed states achieve new heights of development, bringing happiness, peace, and prosperity to their people in the years ahead,” he said.
