J&K | President of India Droupadi Murmu Visits Vaishno Devi Shrine | Inaugurates Devotee Projects The President of India, Madame Droupadi Murmu visited Jammu & Kashmir from October 11, 2023. She was on a two-day visit to Kashmir. The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha welcomed the President upon her arrival at Srinagar Airport. On her visit, the President laid a wreath at the Chinar War Memorial in Srinagar to pay tributes to the soldiers who made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. The president said that the warm welcome she received will stay in her heart. She graced the 20th annual convocation ceremony of the University of Kashmir. Her presence and blessings will definitely inspire our girls, said the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. And their courage to establish a glorious future will also increase. The President congratulated the students who were honoured with degrees. Nature has created Kashmir with unmatched beauty, said the President. It is the responsibility of all of us to preserve this paradise on earth. And the young generation especially should shoulder this responsibility, said the President of India. The J&K government hosted a civic reception in honour of the Honourable President Droupadi Murmu. The LG said how the 1 crore and 35 lakh citizens of J&K were eagerly waiting to welcome her. The LG said how the President’s life was dedicated to improving the lives of the deprived people of the society and re-establishing the dignity of women in the society. The President of India visited Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine and inaugurated prestigious projects for the devotees ahead of the Navratris.
