Srinagar, December 12,2025 : In a glittering ceremony, Sh Nalin Prabhat, Director General of Police (DG-P), Jammu & Kashmir, along with senior officers, athletes, and coaches, honoured sportspersons who have brought glory to the Union Territory.
Sh MK Sinha, ADG HQ, while addressing the gathering, lauded the athletes for their grit, teamwork, and remarkable performances, emphasising the rising prominence of deaf and para sports in J&K.
The athletes were felicitated with mementos in recognition of their achievements, and coaches and support staff were also honoured for their contributions. DG-P personally interacted with the sportspersons, extending best wishes for their future successes.
Among the dignitaries present were Sh SJM Gillani, Spl DG Coordination; Sh Garib Dass, Director SKPA; Sh Alok Kumar, DG Fire & Emergency Services; and Sh Anand Jain, ADG Armed Police, highlighting the high-level participation in the felicitation ceremony.
The event reflects the commitment of J&K Police to encourage sports and recognize talent across all sections of the Union Territory, fostering an environment where athletes, including those in para and deaf sports, receive due recognition.
