Pahalgam, July 7, 2025 – In a continued effort to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2025, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir visited the Nunwan Base Camp at Pahalgam earlier today.
During his visit, the LG Manoj Sinha interacted with pilgrims, langar sevadars, sanitation workers, service providers, and administrative and security officials, taking firsthand feedback on the ground-level arrangements made for this year’s holy pilgrimage.
Emphasising the importance of seamless coordination and pilgrim-centric services, the LG appreciated the tireless efforts of all stakeholders involved in managing the Amarnath Yatra base camp. He acknowledged the contribution of the sanitation teams, health workers, and volunteers working under challenging conditions to provide uninterrupted services to the devotees.

The LG also lauded the efforts of the security forces and administrative officers for maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and crowd management. He directed officials to remain vigilant, ensure real-time grievance redressal, and maintain an efficient system of RFID tracking, medical support, and emergency response at all key points of the yatra route.
The visit underlines the administration’s commitment to making the Amarnath Yatra 2025 a safe, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling experience for all devotees.
