Udhampur, September 09 , 2025: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited Thard Village in Udhampur to review the ongoing restoration works on National Highway 44 (NH-44). The LG was informed that the team is working round the clock to restore road connectivity, and one lane will be opened to traffic soon to facilitate the movement of people and goods.
During his visit, the LG also inspected a Health Camp for flood-affected families at the Gujjar Bakerwal Hostel in Jakhani, emphasising the administration’s commitment to providing timely medical assistance, relief, and support to those affected by the recent floods.
The visits underline the J&K administration’s focus on disaster recovery, infrastructure restoration, and citizen welfare, ensuring both road connectivity and essential services reach vulnerable communities promptly.
