JAMMU, DECEMBER 03: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha chaired a high-level meeting at Raj Bhawan to review the operations of the Home Department.
The chair was briefed on various aspects, including Security Related Expenditure (SRE), manpower positioning, infrastructure projects, and key issues concerning the Home Department and its subordinates, such as the J&K Police, Prisons, Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guards, SDRF, Prosecution, and Forensic Sciences.
The Lieutenant Governor emphasized the modernization and strengthening of the Police and allied organizations to address security and law-and-order challenges effectively. He also directed the timely completion of all projects under SRE and PMDP.
The meeting also focused on improving prison management, human resources, and other aspects related to internal security and the criminal justice system.
