Jammu, March 27, 2025 – In a compassionate gesture, Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha handed over an appointment letter to Ms. Renu Sharma, sister of Shri Arjun Sharma, who tragically lost his life in the Reasi terror attack. The appointment was provided on compassionate grounds, offering support to the bereaved family.
Shri Arjun Sharma, a resident of Reasi, was working as a bus conductor on a vehicle carrying pilgrims when it came under a deadly terrorist attack on June 9, 2024. The horrific incident claimed multiple lives, including that of Shri Sharma, leaving his family and community in mourning.
During the handover ceremony, Lieutenant Governor Sinha expressed his solidarity with the family, assuring them of all possible assistance and support from the Jammu and Kashmir Administration. “We stand with the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. The J&K Administration is committed to providing every form of aid to ensure their well-being,” he stated.
The compassionate appointment of Ms. Renu Sharma reflects the administration’s efforts to extend support to the kin of civilians martyred in terror-related incidents, offering them financial stability and a sense of security in the wake of such tragedies.
