J&K LG Manoj Sinha Lays Foundation Stone for Jammu University’s Kashmir Chapter

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha laid the foundation stone for the Kashmir Chapter of the University of Jammu’s Centre for Regional Studies, Culture, Dialects and Emotional Intelligence, marking a new initiative to promote interdisciplinary research and preserve the region’s cultural heritage. Addressing the occasion, LG Sinha congratulated the university and its team, describing the initiative as a visionary step that brings together four important areas of knowledge: regional studies, culture, dialects and emotional intelligence. He said the centre has the potential to emerge as a unique academic institution, attracting researchers and scholars from other universities and institutions. Highlighting the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence, LG Sinha emphasised that technological advancement and emotional intelligence must complement each other. He noted that emotional intelligence makes technology more responsible, useful and human-centred. He encouraged students and researchers to embrace modern technology while preserving independent thinking, ethical values, creativity and human identity. Emphasising lifelong learning, curiosity and adaptability, LG Sinha said the ability to learn and adjust to changing circumstances would remain essential in the age of Artificial Intelligence. The initiative is expected to strengthen academic research, cultural understanding and interdisciplinary learning in Jammu and Kashmir.
