Srinagar, July 10, 2025 – Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha inaugurated the ‘Bharat Sanrachna J&K 2025’ exhibition and public outreach initiative at Srinagar, emphasizing inclusive development, innovation, and the transformative growth of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The three-day mega event aims to create awareness about government schemes, welfare programs, and technology-driven development across multiple sectors, fostering engagement with youth, students, farmers, and entrepreneurs. In his address, the Lieutenant Governor issued a stern warning against divisive elements spreading fake narratives that threaten peace and harmony in J&K. He specifically condemned statements claiming that guests are spoiling J&K’s culture, alleging demographic invasion and rising alcoholism, likening such rhetoric to the narrative of the terror outfit TRF (The Resistance Front). “We have already lost many innocent lives due to similar statements in the past. I appeal to those making such statements to stop peddling this dangerous narrative,” LG Sinha said.
Commitment to Justice for Terror Victims
Reiterating his resolve to deliver justice to terror victim families, LG Sinha highlighted the misuse of SRO-43, a provision meant to provide jobs to families of terror victims. “Instead of those entitled to jobs, the killers were granted jobs under SRO-43 in the past. Whoever misused it will face action,” he declared. He announced that job letters would soon be handed over to terror victim families, ensuring jobs at their doorsteps. Recently, he met affected families in Anantnag to address their grievances
J&K’s Transformation and Economic Growth
LG Sinha outlined J&K’s remarkable progress, stating that under PM Modi’s leadership, the Union Territory has witnessed a new history in the last six years. “It is a new J&K where children hold pens, not stones; schools and colleges remain open year-round, and international programs replace bandhs and strikes,” he said. He highlighted the youth’s focus on innovation, research, and startups, with the sounds of factories, tourists, and laughter replacing slogans of separatism. The Lieutenant Governor noted that J&K’s economy has doubled in the last 5-6 years, making it a favorite investment destination. He cited the turnaround of J&K Bank, which moved from a loss of Rs 1300 crore to a profit of Rs 1700 crore, and the rise of BPOs in the region. “What was previously impossible in J&K has been made possible,” he added, emphasizing equal opportunities for deprived classes, farmers, women, and youth.

Vision for J&K’s Golden Era
LG Sinha expressed optimism about J&K’s role in India’s journey toward becoming a global superpower by 2047, aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat. He envisioned the next 22 years as a golden era for J&K during the Amrit Kaal, provided the youth are given opportunities to contribute to national development. “I look forward to the day when J&K’s youth join the space sector and become astronauts exploring new frontiers,” he said, crediting central schemes and innovations for turning dreams into reality.
Bharat Sanrachna J&K 2025: A Platform for Progress
The Lieutenant Governor lauded the ‘Bharat Sanrachna J&K 2025’ initiative for bridging the gap between the government and the people. The event features interactive exhibitions from central ministries, including Ministry of Mines, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Space, Bureau of Indian Standards, Indian Council of Medical Research, Ministry of Tourism, and Indian Council of Agricultural Research. It includes live demonstrations, workshops, seminars, skill zones, career guidance sessions, and showcases of local success stories, artisans, and entrepreneurs.LG Sinha urged schools and colleges to visit the exhibition in large numbers to inspire youth and encourage their contribution to J&K’s development journey.
