Srinagar, October 30,2025: In a firm action against elements involved in activities prejudicial to the security of the state, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, has dismissed two government school teachers from service over suspected links with terror outfits.
According to official sources, the decision was taken under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution of India, which empowers the government to terminate employees without departmental inquiry in the interest of the security of the state. The action follows a thorough investigation by security and intelligence agencies that found the teachers allegedly involved in activities supporting terrorism and anti-national propaganda.
The Lieutenant Governor-led administration has maintained a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism, reiterating that government employees found aiding or abetting terror networks will face strict action, including dismissal from service.
Over the past few years, the J&K Government has intensified its crackdown on individuals within the system suspected of links with separatist or extremist groups, ensuring that public institutions remain free from radical influence.
A senior official said, “The administration remains committed to safeguarding the integrity of public service. Those misusing their official position to further anti-national interests will not be tolerated.”
The move aligns with the Union Territory’s broader strategy to curb terrorism, strengthen institutional integrity, and ensure that education in Jammu and Kashmir promotes peace, unity, and national integration.
