J&K LG Manoj Sinha attends commemoration event on Sant Kabir at Bishnah, Jammu

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha graced a heartfelt commemoration event in Bishnah, Jammu, honouring the life, teachings, and timeless philosophy of Sant Kabir, the revered 15th-century mystic poet and spiritual luminary. The event celebrated Kabir’s enduring message of Sarva Dharma Sambhava , emphasising unity, brotherhood, social harmony, and equality as the bedrock of humanity. Sant Kabir, an iconic figure in India’s rich spiritual tradition, embodied spiritual enlightenment and dedicated his life to fostering inclusivity, respect, and equality across diverse communities. His profound teachings, rooted in purity of heart, self-awareness, and bliss, transcend religious and cultural boundaries, serving as a confluence of ideologies where diverse paths of worship unite. LG Sinha, in his inspiring address, described Kabir as the “fragrance of India’s eternal values” and a timeless symbol of the nation’s cultural heritage and spiritual wisdom. “India has been a sanctuary for seekers of diverse faiths for centuries. This spirit of brotherhood, religious diversity, and mutual respect is our greatest strength,” LG Manoj Sinha declared. He urged citizens to embrace Kabir’s teachings to promote equal respect for all faiths and communities, reinforcing the need to preserve India’s ancient values, Sanskar , and knowledge system. In the context of Jammu and Kashmir, he emphasised strengthening the region’s social fabric through these timeless principles. LG Manoj Sinha called for collective efforts to instil Kabir’s philosophy of unity in the younger generation, stating, “We must reach out to every citizen in J&K and reinforce Sant Kabir’s teachings to nurture a society grounded in social harmony, mutual respect, and co-existence.” The event highlighted the administration’s unwavering commitment to fostering inclusivity and countering divisive narratives, aligning with Kabir’s vision of a harmonious and equitable society.
