J&K LG Emphasises Unparalleled Patriotism & Societal Power to Forge Development on Independence Day

Today’s celebration is reminding us that there is no other love greater than the love of the country, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha on the Azadi ka Mahotsav of India’s 77th Independence Day after wataching a light and sound show. sikhaata hai jab khud sahi ho shararat, watan ko ab uski jarrorat nahi hai, nahi izzat-e-kaum jiski nazar mein, jahan mein uski izzat nahi hai There is no selfishness in the love of the country. It is selfless. The love of country is like a falling waterfall inside every citizen. The willingness to sacrifice oneself for love. I see the spirit of sacrificing oneself for love here. In the Tiranga yatra and Meri Mati Mera Desh programme, I could see the sparkle in people’s eyes, the undying love for the motherland. The immense love soul has for the motherland. Many people have felt it, not just us, LG said. It’s patriotic love. It is the power of the society which breaks the mountains and creates a new path of development. We shall never forget our forefathers and this country stands on a strong foundation of spiritual and cultural heritage. The system of social harmony has ensured that we will fulfill all the aspirations and dreams of life. I would like to say one more thing today in the celebration of Independence, said the Lieutenant Governor. You know people often ask what the biggest thing in the world is. Money, Wealth, Gun, Power? No, the biggest thing in the world is truth and respect, LG said. Mahatma Gandhi had no power, gun, money and wealth. He had truth and he had respect for ultimate effort and ultimate penance. Different voices will emerge in our country too. But later all together will create a melody of sweetness. This is the symbol of all the citizens of the society. The Lieutenant Governor concluded his Independence Day speech with the poem of Josh Malihabadi…
