With the launch of the J&K Film Policy 2024, the government has introduced a single-window clearance system and attractive subsidy incentives for filmmakers. These measures are designed to streamline approvals, reduce bureaucratic hurdles, and encourage both feature films and web series productions in the region.
Officials stated that the policy is expected to boost tourism, local employment, and the regional economy, while providing opportunities for local talent in acting, production, and technical support. “Every frame shot in J&K is a masterpiece waiting to be shared with the world,” officials added.
