Srinagar, October 17,2025: The India Meteorological Department has predicted mostly dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) for the next several days with chances of light snow at the higher reaches of North Kashmir.
Meteorologists updated that the majority of areas of the Valley and Jammu area will see clear sky and mild temperatures but the hilly areas of North Kashmir can expect scattered snowfall, especially at upper reaches. Individuals and tourists have been advised to exercise caution and prepare for cold weather conditions accordingly in such locations.
The authorities also informed that the dry spell of weather conditions is also likely to prevail, which would be beneficial for outdoor activities and farming on plains but the upper reaches need to get ready for slippery roads and low visibility by way of light snow and frost.
The weather forecast is in line with the seasonal change in Jammu and Kashmir as autumn moves towards winter, particularly in the north’s hilly regions.
