Jammu, February 15,2026- The Bhaderwah–Basohli National Highway has been reopened for vehicular traffic after remaining temporarily closed due to recent heavy snowfall in the region.
Officials said that road connectivity was restored following continuous snow clearance operations carried out by concerned departments. Teams worked round-the-clock to remove accumulated snow and ensure safe passage for commuters.
The reopening has brought relief to residents and travelers, as the highway serves as a vital link connecting remote areas of Doda and Kathua districts. Movement of essential supplies, including food items and medical necessities, has also resumed.
Authorities have advised commuters to follow traffic advisories and drive cautiously, especially during early morning and late evening hours when chances of icy patches remain high.
The administration reiterated its commitment to maintaining road connectivity across Jammu and Kashmir during the winter season, ensuring minimum disruption despite challenging weather conditions.
