In the last two years, a lot of changes have been seen in the functioning of the J&K Bank. Start up accountability has been seen. Information on workshops, schemes, etc. are provided by the bank general masters. The bank representatives are also present in Back to Village and My Town My Pride programmes where they raise awareness in people about new schemes and products. Earlier, only a select few got the benefits from the bank. Now the bank empowers the youth to avail different schemes for their benefit. Under the PMEGP scheme, for those women who wanted to work from home, the government has given sponsorship to install sewing machines at home and finance has been provided by the J&K Bank.
