After heavy snowfall is predicted in the districts of Jammu and Kashmir, the district administration authorities take appropriate measures to keep the essential services running. Banihal receives heavy snowfall. Seeing the prediction, the district administration and sub-divisional administration in Banihal establish a control room. All the essential departments like health, PWD, etc are activated. These essential departments are then tasked with restoring services. After the weather clears up, the administration starts road clearance work. The road becomes slippery after snowfall. Then according to the forecast we shift pregnant ladies to hospitals in advance so that their safety and care is provided for. Also to make sure that due to closure of roads no emergency situation should arise to cause distress to the residents.
