J&K | Agriculture Dept Promotes Scientific Beekeeping with Farmers’ Training Program in Pulwama The Government of Jammu & Kashmir, Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare Department and the Chief Agriculture Officer, Pulwama conducted a One-Day Training of farmers on scientific Beekeeping. The training also intended to build the capacity of Beekeeping Farmers. The promotion of beekeeping was a project under Holistic Agriculture Development Plan 2023-2024. There were no programs like this before, said locals. There has been so much revolution in the agriculture sector in just five years. Programmes like these create awareness. Farmers get good training. They get good guidance in these programmes. Those who have progressed tell their success stories. The Department of Agriculture explains about their policies to the public. Honey bees have helped people thrive as Tral in Jammu & Kashmir is a forest area. The bee flora is so vast that one day we will surely excel in this as we have been excelling in other areas , said local bee farmers in Tral. Through the use of latest technology we can make the honey mission successful. The meaning of the program is that how will we move forward and how can we develop our agriculture? This is the main objective of our programme, said officials.
