Jammu Municipal Corporation Vows to Resolve Open Drain Issues at ‘Public Samvaad’ in Trikuta Nagar. Public Samvaad, an initiative by Jammu Municipal Corporation was held at Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. The Public Samvaad was designed as a forum to discuss and resolve key issues like Sanitation & Waste Management, Streetlighting & Public Safety, Parks & Green Spaces, Water Supply & Drainage, Road & Infrastructure Maintenance & Other Essential Amenities. Through their MLA, the public were able to voice what are the emergency works that should be taken up? A meeting was held with the Councillors of this area and prominent citizens of South Jammu. A good feedback was received from the public. It is a great effort by the Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation, said one official. People also discussed the Budget so that it should reach the people. In this financial year, we will take on priority the drainage problems that people have told us and some power areas where lane drains have not been built, assured the Municipal Corporation officials in Jammu in the Public Samvaad. The forum provided residents an opportunity to voice their concerns and collaborate with officials for effective solutions. The initiative reflects JMC’s commitment to participatory governance.
