Jammu, November 25, 2024 – Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today met the Jammu and Kashmir Senior Men’s Football Team at Raj Bhawan, congratulating them for their outstanding performance in the ongoing 78th Senior National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy.
The Lieutenant Governor praised the team for their remarkable achievements during the group stage, where they remained unbeaten in a tough Group-A, competing alongside teams from Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, and Punjab. He extended his best wishes for the team’s upcoming matches in the final round, scheduled to be held in Telangana from December 14, 2024.
Shri Manoj Sinha also commended the J&K Sports Council for its efforts in organizing intensive training camps and providing essential facilities, technical guidance, and support to the players, which played a key role in the team’s success.
Present at the meeting were Ms. Nuzhat Gul, Secretary of the J&K Sports Council, Sh. Satpal Singh, Chief Coach, and senior officials from the J&K Sports Council, along with the coaching staff of the team.
