ITI Kulgam organises Apprenticeship Mela to skill train the youth for better placements

An Apprenticeship Mela was organised by ITI Kulgam. Around 400 aspirants and various companies participated in it. The aim of the National Apprenticeship Mela 2022 was to encourage the educated youth to register themselves and based on their talent, skill and technical expertise, national level private sector companies would be able to hire them. This would help them in earning a dignified livelihood. At the apprenticeship mela camp, the youth were made aware to approach private sector jobs also which can pay them well rather than wasting their time waiting for a government job to materialise. A large number of job seeking aspirants applied at the apprenticeship portal through on-spot registration. Today, a vast number of unemployed youth are under the throes of depression, said the organisers. They need to look at other options as well. Education and experience go hand in hand. The apprenticeship mela is a path that can lead the youth forward in life whether in a government or a private job. Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela is organised by the Government of India. It is an apprenticeship fair that aims to act as a platform between job applicants and organisations to assist candidates to take advantage of opportunities in Apprenticeship training. Principal ITI Kulgam, Sahil Rashid said, we are grateful to the administration under the Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha who has laid stress on skill development of the youth so that the issue of unemployment is addressed properly. The ITI institute Kulgam is also focussing on pulling as many youth for apprenticeship registration as possible so that placements can be worked out for their better growth.
