Kashmir, December 8,2025: In response to the surge in passenger demand following IndiGo flight cancellations, Indian Railways has announced the operation of 22 special trains to ensure smooth travel across the country.
Of the 22 trains, 8 will operate from key Delhi stations, including New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, and Anand Vihar Terminal, where passenger traffic has increased significantly. The initiative aims to ease congestion, provide alternative travel options, and accommodate affected passengers efficiently.
Railway officials advised travellers to check train schedules and availability in advance and book tickets through official channels to ensure a seamless journey. The move reflects Indian Railways’ commitment to passenger convenience and effective management during high-demand periods.
