Srinagar, December 26,2025 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said that India is on a historic path of economic growth, driven by a strong and decisive government committed to the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
Addressing an official gathering, the Lieutenant Governor said that bold policy decisions, structural reforms, and transparent governance have laid a strong foundation for sustained economic development. He noted that India’s growth trajectory reflects renewed confidence among investors, entrepreneurs, and global stakeholders.
LG Sinha emphasised that the government’s focus on self-reliance, infrastructure development, manufacturing, innovation, and digital transformation has strengthened the country’s economic resilience. He said initiatives under Aatmanirbhar Bharat have empowered domestic industries, MSMEs, startups, and youth, creating new employment opportunities across sectors.
Highlighting governance reforms, the Lieutenant Governor said that decisive leadership and policy stability have accelerated implementation of key programmes, improved ease of doing business, and enhanced service delivery to citizens.
He further stated that India’s economic progress is inclusive in nature, with welfare schemes ensuring that growth reaches the poorest and most vulnerable sections of society. “Economic growth must go hand in hand with social justice, empowerment, and equal opportunity,” he added.
The Lieutenant Governor expressed confidence that with continued reforms and collective participation, India will achieve its long-term development goals and emerge as a global economic powerhouse.
He said the journey of Aatmanirbhar Bharat reflects India’s determination to build a strong, self-reliant, and prosperous nation, capable of meeting global challenges while ensuring sustainable growth for future generations.
