Jammu, December 6, 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu has been officially selected as a Nodal Centre for the Grand Finale of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 – Software Edition, scheduled to be held on 8th and 9th December 2025.
This marks the second consecutive year that IIT Jammu will host this prestigious nationwide innovation and technology event. The Smart India Hackathon, organized by the Government of India, is the world’s largest open innovation platform, aimed at harnessing the creativity and problem-solving skills of students across the country.
The institute is expected to host hundreds of student participants, innovators, and mentors, providing them with a platform to work on real-life problem statements provided by various government departments and industries. IIT Jammu’s role as a Nodal Centre underscores its commitment to promoting research, innovation, and technology-driven solutions at the national level.
