Historic Electricity Supply Reaches Bandipora, Gurez | Benefiting Thousands in J&K The electricity supply which has been supplied has benefitted Bandipora, Gurez. In an official statement, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha said, grid connectivity has reached the valley for the first time since Independence. A 33/11KV receiving station has been energised benefitting 1500 consumer of various Panchayats. Efforts are on to collect the villages in a phased manner. A resident remarked, earlier, we used to get electricity only for six to seven hours. The senior residents of Gurez said how grateful they were to the LG Government and the administration for supplying electricity.
