High rise culture to begin in Srinagar with the launch of Shehjar Heights Apartments

Shehjar Heights Apartments at Bemina, Srinagar was launched by the Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha on December 14, 2022. The 12-floor high rise is going to be the tallest building in Kashmir. In the last three years, a lot of projects have been launched in Jammu & Kashmir, said the Lt Governor. The development here will get a new momentum. In the last eight years in India in the cities, the scale at which urban development work has been carried out is commendable. How to be at par with the country on these lines we are trying, said Manoj Sinha. In two years we are making an effort to do infrastructure planning and implementation on ground. Because of this, the local economy is seeing tremendous changes. The Lt Governor said that the city of Srinagar is currently undergoing a phase of transformational urbanisation. We need to preserve our culture and rituals during the period of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. He said Kashmir got a big opportunity to organise the G20 summit in 2023. He called on all the representatives and the common people to take G20 as their event and not just a government programme. He requested everyone to come forward and give suggestions. And the best suggestions would be taken forward to make the event successful.
