Block Diwas at Lalpora-A Tral was organised in Jammu & Kashmir. At the public mela, around 15 ‘bastis’ in the vicinity participated including the Gujjar community. Whatever the problems were faced by the public they were redressed at the public meeting. We did not expect this much. People thought it was a good step by the LG administration. The programme was held under the chairmanship of Baseer-ul-Haq Chaudhary (IAS), District Development Commissioner Pulwama who heard their grievances and sought resolutions for them. He said the main goal is to expose the administration to the public. The intent is to make the public aware and provide them services. All the Centrally sponsored schemes are made available to the public. We are making sure that there is no hindrance. And all the officers including myself are available 24×7 to help them. He said, we will respond at all times and hope that people get the most benefits.
