Gangabal Yatra at 14,500 ft | Sacred Pilgrimage in Kashmir Revived by Pandit Community The local Pandit community here in Jammu & Kashmir is credited to reviving the Gangabal Yatra for so many years, stated an official in Jammu & Kashmir. A team of Pandits are starting the yatra today. Every year, the CRPF, Army and Police facilitate the yatris. And this year too, similar arrngements have been made. I would like to wish all the yatris a very happy journey. I congratulate the support teams too, who will travel with the yatris. We hope that such pilgrimages which are going on for ages, in the future too will carry on ike this. I had started the Gangabal Yatra on June 2nd, 2009, said the Pandit community head. It is located on 14500 feet This is the 17th annual Gangabal yatra. Here, shradh and pind daan activities are carried. We provide free of cost langar at our base camps.
