Till now we are getting free ration as well as we can buy ration through money, say local residents of Poonch in Jammu & Kashmir. We are grateful to the government for giving us free ration. The decision taken by the government to provide free ration during Covid has been continuing, say officials. It has been extended for three more months. Till December people will continue to get free ration. In Poonch, more than sixty thousand and one hundred and eighty four families and their dependents and beneficiaries can benefit from this free ration scheme. Around thirteen thousand and three hundred and sixty five quintals of ration supply will be given to Poonch residents every month. This free ration scheme will bring relief to many people. The poor people who were affected post Covid due to floods destroying fields would also benefit. Those availing the scheme are thankful to the Modi government for providing free rice and wheat even after the Covid.
