Explore the MOST BEAUTIFUL Badamwari Garden at Srinagar

Nestled at the foothills of Hari Parbat in Srinagar, Badamwari Garden, also known as Badam Vaer, is a historic almond orchard that comes alive each spring with a breathtaking display of blossoms. Believed to date back to before the 14th century, this 300-kanal garden features meandering pathways, vibrant flower beds, and a central dome attributed to Afghan ruler Warris Shah. After a period of neglect, the garden was revitalized and reopened to the public in 2008, quickly becoming a beloved spot for both locals and tourists. Visitors can immerse themselves in the serene ambiance, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, and experience the rich cultural heritage of the region. The garden is currently open to the public, offering a tranquil retreat amidst nature’s splendor.
It’s a different feeling to be here, said one tourist, one can say it feels like heaven. The climate, environment is good and there is peace with beautiful flowers in full bloom. We have come from Lucknow. In Lucknow there are parks but these kind of flowers are not there. We have not seen anything like it.
