Today marks a significant milestone as the first batch of pilgrims from Doda district prepares to embark on the sacred journey of Hajj. Among them are forty-five devoted pilgrims, thirty-one of whom are male and fourteen are female, united in their deep reverence and commitment to fulfil the religious obligation of performing the Hajj pilgrimage. Their journey commences from Srinagar, the starting point of their spiritual voyage. As they gather to commence this profound expedition, their hearts are filled with a mixture of anticipation, reverence, and humility. Dressed in the simple attire symbolising purity and equality before God, they set forth on a path trodden by millions before them, guided by the timeless principles of faith, devotion, and unity. While the first batch sets out, preparations are also underway for another group of eighteen pilgrims who will embark on their journey via daily arrangements. Despite the logistical intricacies involved, meticulous planning ensures that every aspect of their pilgrimage, from transportation to health checkups, is carefully orchestrated to ensure their safety, well-being, and spiritual preparedness.
