Kashmir , December 8,2025- The Indian Army’s Poonch Brigade has flagged off a National Integration Tour for 25 school children and two teachers from villages located along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch district of Jammu & Kashmir. The initiative aims to provide young students an opportunity to explore different parts of the country, broaden their horizons, and interact with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
According to Army officials, the tour has been organised as part of the ongoing Sadbhavna (Goodwill) efforts, which focus on strengthening the bond between the armed forces and the local population. The participating students will visit prominent educational, cultural, and historical sites during their multi-day tour, enabling them to gain exposure beyond their home region.
The Army stated that such initiatives help bridge cultural gaps, promote national unity, and inspire the youth through real-life experiences. Parents and local residents expressed appreciation for the effort, noting that the tour will motivate the children and enhance their confidence.
The flag-off ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from local villagers, school authorities, and Army personnel, reflecting the spirit of harmony and development in the border district.
