Jammu, February 15,2026-: The Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) organised a day-long seminar on ethical journalism in Jammu, bringing together senior journalists, media professionals, academicians and students to deliberate on the importance of responsible reporting in the digital era.
The seminar, held at the Convention Centre in Jammu, focused on strengthening professional standards, combating misinformation and promoting fact-based reporting in line with the principles of transparency and accountability.
Speaking on the occasion, senior officials highlighted the vital role of media in a democracy and stressed that ethical journalism is essential to maintain public trust. They emphasised adherence to accuracy, impartiality and fairness while reporting sensitive issues, particularly in a region like Jammu and Kashmir.
