Reasi, December 5, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik IAS, chaired a comprehensive review meeting with the National Health Mission (NHM) team to assess the progress of key healthcare initiatives in the district. The meeting focused on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD), Tuberculosis (TB), Hepatitis programmes, and the functionality of Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) workers.
During the meeting, DC Nidhi Malik emphasized the need for timely corrective action, stronger monitoring mechanisms, and enhanced community awareness to ensure effective healthcare delivery. She highlighted that efficient implementation of these programmes is crucial for improving public health outcomes in Reasi.
Officials from the NHM provided updates on ongoing activities, challenges faced, and strategies being adopted to strengthen healthcare services. The DC directed all concerned departments to prioritize follow-up actions and enhance supervision to ensure that the health programmes reach their intended beneficiaries efficiently.
“The focus should be on proactive monitoring, capacity building of frontline workers, and increasing community awareness to achieve tangible results in public health,” the DC said.
This review is part of the district administration’s continued efforts to ensure that national health initiatives are effectively implemented and contribute to better health indicators in Reasi.
