DC Doda Flags off devotees for Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Yatra 2025

Doda, January 20: In a heartfelt ceremony , Deputy Commissioner of Doda, Harvinder Singh, in collaboration with the Sanatan Dharma Sabha, flagged off the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Yatra 2025 from Ganpat Bridge. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Sabha members and local devotees from across the district, who came together to embark on the sacred spiritual journey with devotion and fervor.

The vehicles carrying the pilgrims, ceremoniously decorated for the occasion, symbolized the unity and faith of the community, setting the tone for the sacred pilgrimage. The Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, held every 12 years, is one of the largest and most significant religious gatherings in the world. Devotees from all over the country will gather at Prayagraj, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers, to take the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, a ritual believed to cleanse sins and bestow spiritual liberation.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner lauded the efforts of the Sanatan Dharma Sabha in organising the yatra, emphasising that such events resonate deeply with the beliefs and cultural traditions of the people. He wished the pilgrims a safe, peaceful, and spiritually enriching journey, while also acknowledging the ongoing efforts in the district to facilitate such significant events that help preserve and promote the region’s religious and cultural heritage.
