Budgam, 3 September 2025:Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, on Wednesday inspected the Panzan Bridge, Wathoora and Dangerpora areas amid the rising water level in the Shaliganga Nallah. The inspection was carried out to assess the situation and ensure flood control measures are in place.
During the visit, the DC Budgam reviewed the preparedness of departments tasked with flood management, emphasising coordinated efforts to safeguard residents in vulnerable areas. He directed officials to keep emergency services on standby and ensure that response teams remain alert for any eventuality.
Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat also urged residents to stay away from the Panzan Bridge and nearby areas, cautioning against venturing close to the swollen nallah. Awareness drives are being conducted to inform locals about safety precautions and the importance of following advisories.
The district administration Budgam assured that it is closely monitoring the water level in Shaliganga Nallah, and all necessary measures are being taken to prevent flooding and ensure public safety.
