Baramulla, December 10, 2025:Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, reviewed the progress of multiple development works being executed under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) initiative. The meeting focused on assessing the status of ongoing projects, financial utilisation, and adherence to government timelines.
During the review, DC Sherpa directed all concerned departments to ensure strict adherence to project deadlines and emphasised the need for efficient and transparent utilisation of allocated funds. He instructed officers to remove bottlenecks immediately and accelerate the pace of work in sectors where delays were noted.
Officials briefed the DC on the physical and financial progress of various infrastructure and public welfare projects being implemented across the district. DC Sherpa stressed that timely completion of SASCI-funded works is critical for strengthening public infrastructure, improving service delivery, and ensuring equitable development in Baramulla.
He reiterated that departments must maintain quality standards, submit progress reports regularly, and ensure that funds are utilised strictly as per guidelines to achieve the intended developmental outcomes.
