A cycling event was held in Budgam district to promote awareness for physical and mental well-being. Also, to keep India pollution-free by creating awareness to reduce the use of diesel and petrol vehicles and maximise use of cycles. Every house has more than one car which leads to more pollution and results in respiratory diseases. Therefore, there must be a cycle in every home to reduce pollution and improve air quality, said the ladies in Budgam. ‘Healthy women, Healthy India’ was the main motive of International Women’s Day celebration on March 8, 2023 in Jammu and Kashmir. In Budgam, women were seen cycling or walking covering a distance of 2km. The physical well-being of women is important to celebrate Women’s day, said the ladies in Budgam.
